SCOTTRINCK
Welcome to the iPhone collection of Scott Rinckenberger Photography created with Instagram. To view more of my work visit www.scottrinck.com

I dig life. It's been made very sweet by my wife, nature, outdoor sports, photography, and living creatively.

My photographic method is immersive and minimal. I incorporate photography into adventures. I carry a very small kit and try to cover as much ground as possible on foot, skis and bikes. It is through this kinetic mode that I find my images, or they find me.

The tents in the lower right corner help to give a sense of scale, which is the biggest challenge when you try to translate the Alaskan wilderness into photography. #msrgear #msrtents (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

Due to the sad fact that I’ve been spending a lot of time at my desk since returning from Alaska, let’s live in the past for a little while longer. Here’s Tobey Carman leading a line we dubbed ‘The Prow’ during one of the brief periods of perfect weather we enjoyed in the #RuthGorge. (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! We celebrated in the all-American tradition of car camping and driving fast through mountain streams. #patriotic

Bedroom, Kitchen, and a yoga studio with a view. What else do you need? #ruthgorge #msrgear #msrtents #alaska #yoga (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

Skiing from camp to the ‘cragging area’ at the base of the Stump. We really loved this little supraglacial lake until we discovered a bunch of bathroom trash on one end. Hey humans, Pack It Out! (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

Ropes and skis make efficient safe travel in the Alaska Range possible. This was my first trip out on my @k2_skis Coomback 104s and I’m pretty fired up. (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

Our view from camp, across an active part of the Ruth Glacier to the towering mass of Mt. Dickey. Dickey is an amazing granite monolith rising a sheer 5000 feet above the glacier. The height from the summit to the bottom of the glacier is greater than the deepest point in the Grand Canyon. (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

In classic fashion, the weather in Alaska was a crazy mixed bag, snowy one moment and bluebird the next. While this seriously hampered our more ambitious objectives, it didn’t keep us from exploring the perfect granite playground every time the rock dried out. Here’s Matt Henry on a classic splitter crack on The Stump. (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

I’ve finished editing my work from Alaska and thought I’d share a few non iphone highlights. Evening light on the Ruth Gorge from a few pitches up an amazing climb called Goldfinger on our first day of the trip. Taken with my @getolympus EM1. (at Ruth Gorge, AK)

A few of my favorite things. The #msrgear #twinbrothers shelter served as a kitchen/living room, while the @k2_skis #coomback skis offered transportation during the day and bomber tent stakes at night. #msrtents #alaska #denali #ruthgorge (at Ruth Gorge, AK)
